The effect of music on humans
- Lightness, smooth movements, sensuality and sincerity are qualities that music possesses, reflecting them in a person. So, for example, Natasha Rostova from Leo Tolstoy’s novel “War and Peace” possesses an angelic voice and emotionality, which expressed her dances. Natasha’s singing is admired by both family members and people around her. However, this talent brought the heroine not only success in society, but also phenomenal sensitivity: she constantly supported her family, helping her through all the trials. It was this girl who gave the wounded soldiers carts, regardless of their own needs. Thus, the ability to understand music teaches a person the main quality - to listen and hear other people.
- Music contributes to the development of personality in an individual person. On the pages the story of K.G. Paustovsky “Quick Meetings” we see such a person - this is an old pianist. He could have become a famous musician in Moscow, but chose to play for the sake of “villages and villages” and help repair broken musical instruments to those who could never touch art without his help. Distinguishing sounds, he managed to hear the needs of ordinary people and put them above his own ambitions. He realized that real service to culture is not making money on it in luxurious rooms, but a sacrifice made for the spread of art in the most remote corners of the country.
- The tragedy "Mozart and Salieri" A.S. Pushkin makes the reader appreciate the role of music in influencing a person. Salieri was obsessed with music, he was ready to do anything to become its sole "owner". The competition between the great Mozart and Salieri dissipates when the composer plays “Requiem” - at that very moment in Salieri his soul “wakes up”, he sincerely mournes his immoral act, and until the end of his life will blame himself for the death of Mozart, who “discovered "Him the way to study his" I ". In the same work, the author claims that genius and villainy are incompatible things. This means that art makes a person better, enriches and purifies his soul.
Music perception problem
- Often people become hostages of their own ambitions and desires, sometimes these things provoke a person to such acts that he would never have committed without any influence. This effect is sometimes music. So, for example, in the story of L.N. Tolstov's “Kreutzer Sonata” the main character - Pozdnyshev - kills his beloved wife, and Beethoven's “Kreutzer Sonata” played an important role in what happened. The hero says that he would like to ban the reproduction of this melody, since it has hypnotic power, releases the most secret emotions and animal instincts. The composition acted on him in an absolutely demonic way, not raising, but, on the contrary, lowering his feelings to the state of “animal jealousy”. Distorted perception played a cruel joke with him.
- Man is not alien to joy or sorrow from the memories that music evokes in him. For example, Vera Sheina from the story of A.I. Kuprin "Garnet bracelet" after the death of Zheltkov, he listens to Beethoven's “Appossionatus” performed by a familiar pianist. Tears awaken in her, as well as the joy of understanding that the deceased admirer has forgiven her - the music “told” her about this. It is no coincidence that this mysterious lover asked her to listen to this melody in a dying message. Perhaps he, a passionate lover of music, knew what feelings she would convey to Vera. And did not lose.
- Music in the form of a piece of music is a "measure of greatness" for one, and for another - a "failure." How to understand whether a person made a mistake in his choice of “correct perception”? For example Oblomov from the work of the same name by I.A. Goncharova, who loved the aria “Casta diva” from the Bellini opera, we can see that music can be opened for everyone differently, but the main thing is that a person “performs” under its “pressure”. In this example, the hero falls in love with his opposite - Olga Ilyinskaya, trying to change his stagnant life for the sake of her location. At the same time, his actions under the influence of this melody can be interpreted as a betrayal of himself and his beliefs. Be that as it may, the changes that took place benefited Oblomov: he recognized himself better. So, music can be considered a force that can open a person’s eyes inward.
Unusual music features
- Music connects not only people with similar interests and attitudes, but also characters that are completely different in lifestyle and worldview. They are the heroes the story of A.P. Chekhov's "Rothschild's Violin". After long emotional experiences experienced by the undertaker Jacob, he decides to play his melody, giving free rein to all his emotions, and, as it turned out, the man whom he hated the most in life became his only listener. Rothschild realized that this man survived, just like Jacob, who realized his guilt. The violin presented to Rothschild became a thing connecting their hearts. The great power of art rallied them, revealing those secret corners of the soul that were previously invisible. Melody became the language in which these people understood each other.
- In the story of V. Astafyev “The Last Bow” the life of the protagonist is inextricably linked with music. At a young age, it causes sorrow and delight in him, during the war - a rethinking of the futility of human existence. It seems to him something absolutely inaccessible and exalted in comparison with worldly life, it exists outside of time and space, it just lives inside everyone: inside the soul, heart and mind. It is the musical cry that raises the people and directs them on the path of victory!
